Book Review of Lover Enshrined.
Lover Enshrined was an okay read. There were plenty of good parts but nothing that particularly shone for me.

What I found interesting about this book was the main characters’ story. Phury because he offers another look at the past he shares with Zsadist and because of his present struggle with his drug addiction. As for Cormia, I enjoyed reading about how she adapted to life outside of the boundaries of the Chosen. Unfortunately, the pair simply doesn’t click as a couple. There was no spark to their relationship despite their supposed sexual attraction to each other. And that of course ruins the romance part of the tale.

The other quibble I have with the story is how Bella puts down Phury’s feelings for her. While I can believe that he had a change of heart, I couldn’t accept her assertion that he had mixed up his feelings of gratitude with love for her. As I recall, he and Zsadist both started to have feelings for her at the same time. None of them could have known that she’d be able to save Zsadist from himself then.

The part I enjoyed the most was the change in John, Blay and Quinn’s relationships and standing within the Brotherhood. What happens here certainly has me wondering about what changes are coming for everyone.

My conclusion : Borrow for a read.
